ABOUT LUCIO IN JAPAN

Real Japan. Real Stories.

Lucio in Japan is a blog I started because I wanted to explore and show you the many real sides of Japan through the eyes of someone who has lived here for over a decade and has spent a lifetime studying Japanese culture and society.

What makes me different from most other foreigners living here, is that I have insight on aspects of life in Japan that most "outsiders" never experience (like land and home ownership, pet adoption and owning large dogs). But I also write tons of special features such as events (with privileged access), interviews with locals, myth-busting, and uncovering hidden truths. Lucio in Japan explores Japan as a whole.
